Starlink helped save six lives in the Atlantic. The Estonian yacht Cekritito was taking on water off Spain. Captain Madis Rallmann used Starlink to send a distress message to volunteer rescuers in Estonia. They passed it to maritime authorities, and a Spanish Coast Guard helicopter flew out to the crew. One by one, all six sailors were lifted from their life raft and flown safely to Vigo. The yacht sank hours later.
